Was looking for a password app. That didnt upload all my passwords to a cloud. Ive read too many articles of these cloud based systems getting hacked into, most we never hear about. This fits my bill, thank you

Ive used a number of apps to store passwords over the years but this one is best: simple, easy to use, reliable. What else do you need?
I uploaded my .kdbx onto OneDrive. To use: Select the file in OneDrive, and choose Open. You are then invited to select an app. Choose MiniKeePass. It then copies the file from OneDrive into MiniKeePass. Enter your password to access the database. The first 2 times I did this, I got a "Failed to Decrypt" message, which was a bit annoying. So I deleted the .kdbx from MiniKeePass, and started again. Its now working just fine. There are clearly a couple of minor bugs to sort out, but overall, it works just fine. The interface is very intuitive, and it is an extremely useful tool for accessing the dozens of different passwords we are now forced to create whenever we visit a web site...or even software keys. I dont see what all the complaints are about. This app is completely free. There are others available at up to $6.99 which is outrageous, considering the source code is open source! Its pretty unfair to complain when an app is free, in my opinion. Thank you, developers!
Somehow I cant open my existing .kbdx password files. Action does not exist. Any solution?
The developer seems to be intentionally avoiding fixing a bug that has been around for the past year. It is so annoying that this app cannot load a new file when downloaded from Dropbox. Even deleting the old database file doesnt allow the new file to be used. Please fix your broken app.
I loved this app until the latest update. As other reviewers have said, the alignment is off, with overwriting of fields. I was able to use it in portrait mode but not landscape mode. I hope they will promptly iron out these recent problems, because the program worked so well before.
The app is free, it works well, and is actively maintained! ... And yet some people are complaining? The negative reviewers come across as uninformed (lazy) and self-entitled (selfish) children. Leaving a review like that is unhelpful and unhealthy. If you dont like something in an app or have an issue try contacting the developer directly. They cant respond to your reviews! You will be far more likely to get a resolution and hey, maybe help others. To the developer(s), thank you for this app.
Yes, it wont work with dropbox or google drive, but it still works with MS OneDrive, formally SkyDrive. Maybe not ideal for some users, but its an easy fix and well worth it for the amazingness that is this app. Chive on!
keepass is the best all platform password storage solution. This app is the best iOS keepass solution. The devs keep it open source and updated. They also keep it free. What more can you ask? If there ever a need to turn this into a paid app to support continued development, I am sure many will pay.
If you were previously relying on a other app to sync and lost support, that is a drag but does not make this app useless. Nor should recent reviews centered around this issue negatively influence your decision to install if you are a potential new user. Simply email the kdbx file to yourself (at whichever account you have as your @mac/@me etc). Open said email in the indigenous mail app, then open the attachment using the open in... command as before. It would be great if everything in your external world worked exactly as you had them working forever but unfortunately that will never happen. If this was a major problem, now it isnt. If you are totally hung up on he fact it wont work with the app you want when there is a viable solution right here then you can work out that kink on your own! Otherwise, it would be nice to have a little bit more fine tuned settings. Specifically with the timeout which seems arbitrary after a long period of observation through multiple versions. The embedded web viewer could be enhanced from the barebones form that is currently presented. Minus 1 for those minor gripes.
Please update you app to support file type association for kdbx files! Its a quick google search to learn how.
Works fine for me! I have been used KeePassX on Windows 10 desktop and MiniKeePass on iOS. Great app!
Used to work with google drive, cant open my most recent version stored in drive
Have tried several KeePass apps. This is the only one of the apps I have tried that I havent had some type of issue with. Works GREAT, has a very clean user interface, and I havent had a single problem on either my iPhone or iPad. My only complaint is that there is no way to contact a support person. The ability to email support needs to be integrated into the app. Highly recommend. MiniKeePass is simply the best of the available KeePass apps!
Love this app and now opens from the new google drive too!
Scenario- when making edits using your app it will not update the master database in dropbox. Resulting in two versions of my DB that are no longer in sync, dropbox version and the version within the app. Please help if user error or fix! Thanks.
This is a great app, it has always worked for as long as Ive used it. But after I upgraded to iOS 9, it is no longer opening up the database I have, even though I know I did not change the password at all.
Will not open in Drive while using IOS devices. I am going to have to find a better supported password application.
While the mobile version is developed separately from the desktop version, it is capable of reading the password file, though some of the desktop versions advanced features are not supported. It would be great to have support for combined username and password AutoType when using the built-in browser. Currently, you have to tap separate buttons for username and password, respectively. Support for references (e.g. one entry uses the password from another entry), as supported by the desktop version, would be nice to have. As everyone has already said, integration with the major cloud storage apps could be better. Otherwise, this is a great product.
As much as I like Keepass, it is unfortunate that the iPad version, MiniKeePass, still wont sync automatically with Dropbox. Every time I make a change to it on my PC, which saves it right to Dropbox, I have to manually update it on the iPad. This means, "open" it in Dropbox, wait for the message "this file type cant be viewed", then go to "Open in..." and select "Copy to MiniKeePass". Very cumbersome. Other than that, a great app!
