MiniKeePass App Reviews

Works consistently well...

...on both my wifes and my iPad Mini. (Wish I could say the same for several other miserable apps. weve got.) We use it one or more times per day and hasnt given either of us any grief. Sure, we could use any of several cloud sync services with this, but prefer old-school USB cable-and-iTunes, since we do weekly encrypted backups to our computers anyway. Tanx for a great little app!

Best Free Mobile KeePass

Yes there is a formatting/alignment bug in the 1.6.3 release on iPads but it is still fully functional and based on the developers prior responsiveness, I expect this to be a short lived inconvenience in an otherwise great app.

Workes well

Importing my database wasnt a problem for me. TouchID makes it easy and fast to copy passwords.

AWESOME!!!

I was able to download my keepass file from my desktop to my phone & it picked everything up!!! Didnt have to re-key anything. Ignore the critics & nay-Sayers, this is a great app.

"copy to MiniKeePass" option is gone, making cloud storage useless

I keep my KeePass db in Google Drive, so I can use it on all my devices. MiniKeePass worked fine for quite a while, but for some reason the "Copy to MiniKeePass" option has vanished from both Drive and Dropboxs actions menus, so its now impossible to open my db. Once this is fixed, my review will go back to 5 stars, but for now this app is worthless to me.

Best free keepass out there.

Ive been using this app for years on my Iphone and there isnt a better keepass for the price. Apparently recent versions dont play well with the iPad. While I understand how critical this software is, giving the developer, who is donating their time with little return, a poor review doesnt exactly act as an incentive to make them work harder. Try giving an accurate review, based on the sum of your experiences, along with the criticism. Better yet, send the dev detailed information on the problem directly rather than a spam negative reviews.

Absolutely indispensable!

Love this app! Makes using keepass on iOS a pleasure (especially the split screen multi-tasking option). Couple of minor glitches or features that would be nice to see addrssed 1. iPad font jumbling that others have mentioned (really doesnt impact my usage at all) 2. auto fill in other apps in iOS 8 or later w/sharing features

Great little app that integrates with PC app

I have used the PC desktop portable version for many years and its a no nonsense, easy to use password manager. Having the ability to easily import/export your entries between versions is sweet! As a previous review mentions, there is a screen display problem with this version. Entries overlap the form fields and it makes it a little difficult to read. However, Im quite confident the developers will resolve this in a future release (hopefully soon!). If not for that, Id have rated this 5 stars.

Great app, one fatal flaw

I love the app. It does exactly what it promised to do, keep a copy of all of my passwords close at hand. My only problem is that Im unable to share the database from my iphone. I can share it from my iPad to my iPhone, but I dont always carry the iPad with me so any updates done to the phone need to be re-entered on the iPad IF I remember to do so ... Weve lost data because of this! My wife also carries a copy of our database and occasionally updates it, but forgets to copy the changes to the iPad before I push a new copy of the database. The PC version of KeePass (version 2.0) can reconsile differences between databases and even sync changes made by different users at the same time. Id be happy if MiniKeePass would just tell me a newer version exists ...

Great

Very clean, simple interface. Works well. Secure and released under the GNU Public License. Well done.

Latest update needs fixing

Used to be great. 5 star. Latest version has display problems where now you can not see your passwords as the are over written. BIG ONE STAR.

Two major flaws: sync and references

It will download from Dropbox but does not sync like Windows version, reconciling changes in both directions. So dont make changes on the iPad or iPhone. When entries reference another field it is not dereferenced. This is not my password: {REF:P@I:1060036257EA334C825294105CDC0570} The iPads security model makes it hard to juse. No auto paste. Must switch apps and switch back to paste.

Needs touchID support

Stopped using this app due to lack of touchID support. Went over to KeePass Touch until the developer updates the app for modern ios devices.

KeePass Passwords From Win 8/10 To IOS

I keep my Kee Pass passwords in Google Drive so that I can share the program with other same platform devices. To my surprise I am also able to share kdbx files on this app via transferring from iTunes to my iPhone. I am thoroughly impressed with this app and wanted to say, "job well done" to the apps developers. Kdbx

GREAT APP!

Have used this FREE app for years! There are some things that would be nice to have, but have managed for years and just learned that I should carry my iPad with me. I have noticed the recent problem with being able to readily see the 4 fields. I have just used the copy paste feature to manage logins so do not really need to discern the exact letters and numbers of my passwords. I am sure this will be resolved with the next update! Thanks to the developer for a great free app!

Rock solid, works with KeePass databases

Ive used this app for a few years now and it has been rock solid for me. It doesnt have some features Id like to see like direct cloud sync, but I am rating it on the features it has. It can open KeePass files from any cloud storage (I used Dropbox and OneDrive), it supports key files, it has the built in safe browser, you can modify entries and export your file back to the cloud, the files stay fully compatible with desktop KeePass, and in all that time Ive never experienced a corrupt database or lost data. And its free - which, given how solid it is, puts it above most if not all paid versions.

Not reliable and not getting fixed

This app has serious problems with Dropbox. The developer seems to be intentionally avoiding fixing Dropbox bugs that have been around for the past year. It is so annoying that this app cannot load a new file when downloaded from Dropbox. Even deleting the old database file doesnt allow the new file to be used. Please fix your broken app.

Basic, functional keypass app but lacks solid DropBox compatibility

Pros: free, no ads, and functional so long as you dont need seamless or reliable syncing with DropBox. KeePass Touch is better option if you need reliable DropBox syncing. If you dont need DropBox and dont want to pay a buck to remove ads from KeePass Touch, then choose this one. Minus 2 stars for lack of seamless DropBox sync

Touch ID?

No Touch ID support. App barely gets updated.

great app but skip update

Ive used this app for years and rely upon it. However, the latest update messed up the display of the fields and text. I wasnt having any issues w the previous version. Id like to undo this April 2016 update.
